
Suzanne Pleshette was an American actress, voice, and film actor. She was alive from January 31, 1937, until January 19, 2008. Pleshette began her career in theatre, and then she appeared in films in the 1950s and later. She was later featured in notable films like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), or Spirited Away (192001). Later, she was in various television productions and was often a guest actor. She was Emily Hartley in The Bob Newhart Show, from 1972 until 1978 which earned her several Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan), and Eugene Pleshette. She was born in Brooklyn Heights, New York City on the 31st of January, 1937. The parents of her were Jewish as were the descendants of immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary.Her mother was a dancer and artist who performed under the stage name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was the stage director at the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, and the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
