Alisyn Camerota
Alisyn Camerota - journalist, author, host of CNN's "New day" morning program, Westport resident and Westport Country Playhouse trustee - has been elected. Through her decades of the field of journalism, Camerota has covered stories across the globe, earning an Emmy Award for her breaking reportage on the arrest by Roger Stone, and the most prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award for her news breaking coverage of the effects of Hurricane Maria upon Puerto Rico. As part of other trustee board' transitions, Johnna G. Torsone of Stamford is appointed an honorary trustee, having been as a trustee since 2007 Anna Czekaj-Farber from Westport is elected board chair after having been since the beginning of 2013 on the board. Czekaj Farber replaces Barbara Streicker from Westport who was chair of the board in the previous year. She was in this position ever since. The board of trustees for the Playhouse comprises 26 trustees.
